My Story

Ky is a Melbourne based physiotherapist and exercise scientist. He has a strong passion for the health and wellness of his patients, with a desire to assist individuals with returning to and exceeding their pre-injury level. He has experience with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, possessing particular interest in sport and running injuries.

Ky Wynne currently consults full-time as a physiotherapist at Physiosports Brighton. See Physiosports bio. Ky has completed the Doctor of  Physiotherapy program at the University of Melbourne where he graduated with distinction. In 2021 he finished his Graduate Certificate in Sports Medicine (Sports Physiotherapy) also through Melbourne University. Ky also completed a Bachelor of Exercise Science with a focus on clinical rehabilitation prior to undertaking his physiotherapy studies.

Prior to working at Physiosports Brighton, Ky has worked at leading sports medicine clinics in the inner and outer east of Melbourne. He has also been employed for a number of football and soccer clubs, including Melbourne Victory’s youth academy. Before beginning his Physiotherapy career, Ky worked in health, fitness and sporting settings for over 6 years, including roles as a personal trainer, exercise scientist, Pilates instructor and sports trainer.

Ky has a passion for continual learning, completing further study and upskilling in key areas of interest, including running assessment and coaching, strength and conditioning, and lower limb rehabilitation. He uses his passion for ongoing learning to share physiotherapy and exercise-related evidence on a social media channel.

Ky also has a strong desire to give back and develop the profession of physiotherapy. Currently, Ky is involved in a course advisory and mentorship role at Swinburne University, whilst he also also completed a number of lectures to students (through Swinburne, Learning Physiotherapy and the APA).

Having competed in surf lifesaving, running, aussie rules football and futsal, Ky uses this experience in sporting settings to help better understand his patients and athletes.

Outside of physiotherapy, Ky enjoys sport, the outdoors, travel, Asian food, and Melbourne coffee.
