My Story
Ky is a Melbourne based physiotherapist and exercise scientist. He has a strong passion for the health and wellness of his patients, with a desire to assist individuals with returning to and exceeding their pre-injury level. He has experience with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, possessing particular interest in sport and running injuries.

Ky has worked at leading sports medicine clinics in the inner and outer east of Melbourne. He has also been employed for a number of football and soccer clubs, including elite youth level, NPL, VAFA and more. Before beginning his Physiotherapy career, Ky worked in health, fitness and sporting settings for many years, including roles as a personal trainer, exercise scientist, Pilates instructor and sports trainer.

Ky has a passion for continual learning, completing further study and upskilling in key areas of interest, including running assessment and coaching, strength and conditioning, and lower limb rehabilitation. He uses his passion for ongoing learning to share physiotherapy and exercise-related evidence on a social media channel.

But Ky’s impact goes far beyond the clinic.
He is also a respected university-level lecturer and tutor in physiotherapy, with current and previous roles at RMIT and Swinburne University. He has also held roles advisory boards for curriculum development.
His passion for lifting the standard of education has seen him present for online learning platforms, and develop evidence-based rehab and exercise programming courses used by clinicians and coaches alike. His recent online course (see here), focused on elevating exercise prescription and rehab standards, gaining excellent feedback! Additionally, Ky regularly shares his expertise through guest lectures, online articles, podcasts, and live events.

In 2024, Ky also emerged as a voice on burnout in physiotherapy, writing a widely read article that sparked invitations to present at conferences, appear on podcasts, and contribute to broader discussions around clinician wellbeing.

With a Doctor of Physiotherapy, a Grad Cert in Sports Medicine (Sports Physio), and a Bachelor in Exercise Science, Ky combines deep academic training with an authentic, down-to-earth approach. He’s walked the athlete's path himself (albeit at an amateur level) —having played footy, surf lifesaving, futsal, and recently training for his first marathon—so he knows what it takes to perform, recover, and stay on track.

Outside of physiotherapy, Ky enjoys sport, the outdoors, travel, Asian food, and Melbourne coffee.
